Curriculum Details

Our English / Language Arts courses prepare students to be better communicators and writers. Students will complete all of the four required classes to fulfill their English credits.

English I (1 credit)

In this course, students will begin to read and write about different genres. Students will also improve their speaking and listening skills.

English II (1 credit)

Next, students will read and write about American and world literature. Students will also learn the ways of speaking and presenting.

  • Basic Literary Forms
  • Presentations & Speaking
  • The History of Literature

English III (1 credit)

During English III, students will begin to read and write more advanced texts. This course will help students become better writers, readers, and speakers.

We Will Cover:

  • Advanced American Literature
  • Advanced World Literature
  • Complex Literary Forms
  • Advanced Persuasive Writing
  • Advanced Informative Writing
  • Sophisticated Vocabulary
  • High-Level Presenting Skills

English IV (1 credit)

Finally, students will learn about the history of English and fine arts. Students will write about important events in history to show their understanding.
